Mentor Event - awards and update

FreshIdeas Events launched their first Mentor Competition in November which gave women across London the opportunity to have some of the UK's most high profile and successful businesswomen work with them to help them achieve their goals.

Ten women were chosen and matched to one of the ten MAD (Make a Difference) women mentors for 6 months.  

Karen Hanton, Karen Darby, Kresse Wesling and Caroline Plumb, all included in Britain's 100 Most Entrepreneurial Women list, are among the mentors who offered their services to the aspiring businesswomen.



Highs and lows

On 21st May you are invited to an event in the fantastic surroundings of HSBC's private bank in Mayfair where a winning mentor\mentee pair will be announced.  This will be the couple who have achieved the most success over the past 6 months.  

But before we announce the winning pair, the mentors and mentees will take part in a panel discussion and give the inside story on their journey over the past 6 months.  The mentees will talk about the highs and lows of getting ahead in a business or career and how having a mentor has helped them achieve their goals.

This event presents an excellent opportunity to make connections and meet people with different experiences and challenges who are succeeding in business.

The Inside Track

The mentees have a wide range of innovative businesses.   Among them are an ethical image consultancy encouraging eco-friendly dressing, an online business for those passionate about socialising and dining out in London, and an online business dedicated to remote working.

We won't reveal the whole story but you can also get a flavour of some of the success the mentees reported at the mid way point in the competition.
