Mentoring at Work - A Masterclass

Central London 29th September 9.30am - 5.00pm
WAKE UP TO THE POWER OF MENTORING
While the benefits of mentoring both to corporate employees and to entrepreneurs are widely recognised many mentoring programmes are still not delivering to their full potential.
This is attributed, in part, to lack of mentor skills and training.
This thought-provoking, skills-based programme is designed to explore the essential skills mentors need and to offer practical advice and guidance on setting up or developing existing mentoring programmes.
Masterclass overview

This is an interactive, practical day packed with insights and learning, listed below are just some of the highlights:
- Understand what mentoring is and is not
- Gain an insight into the key skills required to be a good mentor
- Approach mentoring in a way that helps ensure optimum success is achieved in all mentoring relationships
- Learn to adopt a more ‘hands off’ and empowering style when developing others
- Make informed and practical decisions about establishing and developing a mentoring programme
- Deliver a sound business case for mentoring in your organisation and appreciate how businesses profit by developing the mentoring skills of their managers
- Understand how mentoring forms a key part of professional and personal development
We pay particular attention to the skills of non-directive mentoring, where mentors enable mentees to think more for themselves and learn to solve their own problems.
Guest speakers include serial entrepreneur and mentor, Karen Darby who founded and sold SimplySwitch for £22m; Oylmpic medallist and mentor, Leon Taylor and Learning & Development professional, Jeannette McMullen.

Her programme has had fantastic feedback from our managers and the approach supports organisational and personal goals - a must for any organisations' learning agenda."

"I was absolutely delighted to be a mentor on the FreshIdeas Mentor programme and got huge value from it and from meeting and encouraging like minded women at the events. In a world sadly lacking in initiatives that bring immediate benefits and rewards this programme is a real gem.”
