About Us

While women are certainly becoming increasingly successful in business, there are still far too few women who own and run businesses, and women in senior positions remain a minority. 

This prompted Jackie Brennan and a group of business associates to organise a very successful Women in Business conference in 2006 and from this, FreshIdeas was developed. 

We are very grateful to the many contributors who have Made A Difference in the lives of our network of women and we look forward to continuing to work with progressive organisations who support the development of women in business.



Enterprise UK Ambassador


Jackie Brennan, Director of FreshIdeas Events, has more than 15 years’ experience in marketing, communications, event and project management in leading companies in the UK and Ireland and is dedicated to strengthening the role of women in business.

Jackie is an Ambassador for Enterprise UK, the CBI and IOD-backed national campaign to give people in the UK the confidence, skills and ambition to be enterprising - to have ideas and make them happen.
